3 recipes to enjoy with our new individual containers

When it comes to gastronomy, a meticulous selection of ingredients is required to guarantee an exquisite result; the same happens when decorating a home. Every detail is part of a composition that must look harmonious, elegant and sober, so, by combining these components – kitchen and furniture – we seek to create an entire experience that revolves around a wooden table, dishes for each occasion and decorations that achieve this union between both to perfection.

Discover these 3 delicious recipes designed for 3 moments of the day; prepare them, enjoy them, and accompany them with the new OnA individual plates, created by Juliana Correa, guest artist of The Blue House.

1.Breakfast: Smoked salmon toast.

A quick and easy recipe to prepare when you wake up, which combines the freshness of avocado, the softness of cheese and the characteristic smoky flavour of salmon to create a healthy and delicious breakfast.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 100 gr of smoked salmon in slices
  • 1 large avocado
  • Cream cheese spread
  • ½ lemon
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation:

Toast the bread in a frying pan or toaster until golden brown or to your liking. Meanwhile, slice the avocado and place on a plate, then add the juice of half a lemon and a pinch of salt. Mash it with a fork until it becomes mush. Spread as much cream cheese as you like on the toast, then spread the mashed avocado on top. Cut the smoked salmon into strips and place on top, then add a few drops of extra virgin olive oil to your toast.

2. A sweet break: Chia pudding

Treat yourself to a midday break to enjoy a sweet but nutritious snack. You can even prepare this delight the night before and enjoy it whenever you choose. Serve your pudding with the toppings of your choice and your favourite OnA individual.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 1 and 1/2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 glass of vegetable milk of your choice (coconut, almond, soy, rice or oat milk)

Preparation

In a blender, add the milk of your choice, the peeled bananas, and approximately 4 tablespoons of chia seeds into the blender, keeping in mind that the more of these you use, the thicker the pudding will be. Blend until you get a puree consistency. You can also add stevia sweetener or agave honey if you want a more intense flavor. Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours before serving and finally add the toppings you want, such as fruit, nuts, granola, etc.

3. Appetizer time: Spanish tapas

You've probably heard of this famous appetizer: A typical dish of Spanish cuisine – served with a good wine or beer – that stands out for being delicious, quick and easy to prepare. The truth is that, if it's about taste, you can enjoy tapas by playing with the endless combinations of toppings that exist on a slice of toasted bread. Here are some ideas perfect for different palates and occasions.

Tomato, oil and ham tapa

A very popular classic that works for almost any audience and at any time. Toast some small slices of bread, meanwhile, mash some tomatoes, add a little olive oil and a pinch of salt; once the bread looks golden and crispy, assemble your tapa by placing the tomato mixture and a few slices of Iberian ham on top.

Honey and cheese tapa

If you have a sweet tooth, you should try making this delicious treat. Grab your favorite cheese, we suggest one with a smoky flavor like Gouda, or one that creates a strong contrast like blue cheese. Spread it on your toast and add a little maple or agave honey.

Spanish chorizo ​​and olive tapa

If you want to evoke the most traditional Spanish flavour with its classic spicy touch, you only need two toppings. On your toasted bread base, place one or two slices of the Spanish chorizo ​​of your choice and finish your tapa by placing an olive on top with the help of a wooden toothpick.
