Blue Recap: Salone del Mobile Milano
The 60th edition of the Salone Del Mobile, a global design event, was held from 7 to 12 June. This year, more than 262,000 visitors attended the fair, which has as its main attribute the presence of new trends in furniture and home decoration, with quality, innovation, beauty and sustainability as its central themes.
Among many trade shows, Salone Satellite was one of the most talked about, as it had a larger international participation than ever before. 600 young designers and design schools from around the world, specifically from 48 countries, gave an impeccable demonstration of design and the direction in which it is heading.
Furthermore, this edition represented a great milestone for national talent, since for the first time in the history of the Milan Furniture Fair, Colombia was present. This means a great opportunity for Colombian designers to become known among global consumers and thus present them with the offer that the country has in this market.
Sustainability being one of our brand pillars, El Salón del Baño was one that particularly caught our attention, because the designs there focused not only on water savings, but also on the use of recyclable and low-impact materials, creating high-quality and durable products for spaces focused on technology, comfort and a conscious lifestyle.
To briefly summarize what we experienced this week, we present some of the trends that were exposed there and are here to stay.
Marble and stone
Both materials are left to play with different textures, shapes and colors while

adapt to modern life and current design.
Red
Surely the most popular Italian ingredient inspired most designers to incorporate

this striking color in his compositions.
Steel in seats
A brutalist and elegant style that reinterprets the classic designs of the 20th century, by incorporating

an industrial material to create fresh and futuristic environments.
Likewise, we also showcase those brands, artists and designers who stood out for their creativity, innovation and impeccable work.
