Blue Tips How to care for your fabric furniture
Our tapestries are made from high quality and durable materials, however, by giving them proper care and maintenance, you can make your furniture retain an impeccable image for much longer.
The key is to not let dirt accumulate and to remove dust frequently, use the correct products and follow the instructions provided by us to prevent your furniture from deteriorating.
Below, we show you how to clean your The Blue House fabric upholstered furniture.

Diary:
Wipe the surface with a dry cloth.
Preferably with a micro-fiber one to avoid lint residue.
Monthly:
Using a spray bottle and from a distance of 30cm, apply an upholstery cleaner to the furniture and with a white cloth, gently rub the surface in one direction, not in a circular motion.
Use Vanish Upholstery Cleaner as a substitute for shampoo.
Apply Scotchgard fabric and upholstery protector after washing.
Annual:
Give your furniture a steam clean.

Be careful with sharp or pointed objects, studs or zippers on clothing, pets with long nails or brushes with thick bristles.
Don’ts
Do not use abrasive liquids or liquids not specified for use on upholstery.
Do not dry with a hair dryer or in direct sunlight.
Do not place the furniture near the air conditioner or expose it directly to sunlight or water.
Some extra care tips are:
- For stains from soluble or greasy substances, clean immediately with a clean, dry cloth, without applying pressure to the surface, to prevent the fabric from absorbing it. You can also use a little Frotex.
- Avoid using scouring pads, sponges or hard-bristle brushes to clean your furniture.
- Make sure that the surfaces of the furniture are exposed to the same amount of light.
- Avoid sitting on them with clothes with zippers, studs, rivets or other sharp or pointed objects.
