How to choose the perfect mat
One of the mistakes we frequently find when decorating a space is the location and size of the rug.
Rugs are very important decorative elements, often overlooked when furnishing a room or left out of the budget. A space will always look better with a rug, as long as the size and proportions are harmonious.

Rugs in both the living room and bedroom help to give unity to the space, as they clearly define areas, becoming a very important focal point, so when choosing the rug, keep in mind the following recommendations.
The first thing is to never put the rug under the coffee table without at least the front legs of the sofa and armchairs being on top of it.

If you have a large rug that allows you to put all your furniture on it, it should reach all the way to the end of each piece of furniture, the armchairs and the sofa, this works very well in large spaces. Ideally, the rug should not be too close to the walls of the space, between 30 and 45 cm works well.

When the space is not very large, it is enough to step on the mat with the front legs of each piece of furniture.

For the bedroom, look for the rug to extend as wide as the nightstand and extend over the foot of the bed.

For the dining room, look for a size that extends about 60 cm on each side of the table.
If you're looking to create a room with a particular style, such as industrial or modern, don't use a rug that clashes with the rest of the pieces rather than creating contrast. There are certain types of rugs that can help you achieve the style you're going for. For a handcrafted or bohemian look, look for rugs made of natural fibers. For a Scandinavian look, look for subdued colors and graphic prints like stripes or zig zags. For an industrial look, look for rugs with texture and a small print.

If you already have a rug that you love, either for its color or its pattern, consider using it as the basis for choosing the color scheme for the room. It's much easier to choose colors that match the rug, since you can order the formula in the shade you want, than it is to find a rug in a specific color.

Regarding the shape, look for one that matches the shape of the furniture and again, always consider the measurements of the rug in relation to your space.
