Making of: Kai edition chair

If you are looking for a sober, simple but stylish piece, comfortable and subtle, that accompanies the large furniture in your home - such as the sofa , dining room, or your bed - and gives them a visually elegant touch, the Kai is for you. In this blog, we will tell you how this product came about unique and versatile , it will undoubtedly be the new icon in your home .  

As we began to think about it, certain criteria for this design stage began to emerge : It had to be made of wood, have curved pieces, and look casual enough, yet elegant enough. 

We wanted to give her the opportunity to offer a personalized experience . We were clear that Kai had to be more than just a chair.  

This is how our team of designers began to draw the first sketches, taking into account not only the how , but also the why of this piece.  

It all started with a cube, a single figure that little by little, and with the transformation of different elements, began to take shape piece by piece: its seat, its backrest, then the arms and finally the legs.  

 The goal was to create a basic piece of furniture, a new essential for every home, just like the Noura table or the Lombard ía chair , which have become indispensable pieces today.  

The use of wood, a flagship material in our furniture, became the canvas on which we would begin to draw curved lines , creating a visual harmony that brings warmth to any space, while contrasting with the rigid appearance of its cubic design .  

The idea of ​​this chair was that it would adapt to any occasion , so it was decided to have multiple versions where customers could choose their favorite according to their need: With arms, without arms, in black wood, in natural wood, chair version , armchair, upholstered or without upholstery.  

The evolution of the Kai chair was surprising. Each element fit together perfectly, from the seat that comfortably embraces , to the backrest that rises with an organic touch . The fusion of vertical lines that go upwards gives it that unique character , framing it with subtlety.  

And this is how we arrive at the result: a sober and delicate chair, which reflects simplicity in every detail. Its perfectly balanced dimensions and carefully designed round legs provide us with a compact and cozy resting place.  

A square piece with a distinctive touch: flowing curves that soften the edges, harmoniously merging the organic with the geometric . A chair that adapts to different tastes and styles, ready to be the center of attention or to elegantly live in the background.
