Welcome to The Blue House ! We are a furniture and art gallery with stores in Medellin and Bogota. Our doors are open to invite people interested in good design to a place where they can find exclusive pieces with an aesthetic proposal different from what is normally found in the local market.
The Blue House was born in 2015. From the beginning, it was conceived as the result of a fusion of talent: design, art, interior design, architecture and city create the concept of each object. 5 Solidos, Collete, Errante, Duque Arquitectura and Lab Lum are brands that are part of the creative team behind this proposal; together they take care of every detail, material or finish, thus creating habitable spaces full of stories.
Our product offering has a high aesthetic and avant-garde value; each detail is thought out so that the objects create unique environments.
The world moves fast, design evolves and so do we. We are defined by a nomadic essence, we constantly travel the world, we take the new international trends and we take care of impregnating them with an authentic style, creating a new universe within our store where Scandinavian, Boho and Industrial styles predominate, inspiring spaces with personality, daring and avant-garde.
Colombian Handmade
Although we are inspired by universal design, we are proud to say that the vast majority of our pieces are made by Colombian hands. At The Blue House we care about supporting the local market; within our galleries you can find guest brands that represent talent, value craftsmanship and rescue ancestral techniques, all working together to leave a clear message: We believe in Colombia, we create for the world.
Delivery times and product customization
Since we have a national production, our delivery times are usually shorter than those of our competitors. However, due to the pandemic, these deadlines have been slightly affected. Normally, production takes 30 business days, which at the moment is extended from 45 to 60 business days. On the other hand, managing production in our workshop also gives us the possibility of changing or personalizing some characteristics of the product. Measurements, colors, materials are some of the variables that can be adjusted according to the needs of each client.
Green is the new Blue
At this moment, the company is going through a change of mentality towards a more conscious one. Currently, actions are being developed that result in a voluntary compensation to the environment; in alliance with O2 Reserve , for each purchase of our products, m² of tropical rainforest are being preserved in a reserve in the Magdalena Medio. In addition to that, we are gradually managing to introduce new materials with a sustainability component, wood from renewable forests, resins and fibers with inputs that come from waste from the textile industry, among others. Finally, in December we presented a new line of planet-friendly products under the #GreenisthenewBlue campaign. All of these are the first steps towards that sustainable ideal that we dream of. However, we will continue working to make our brand an example and a model for all those companies that also want to make this change of consciousness.
BH Studio
We would like to introduce you to a new benefit that we believe can be a very interesting work tool for you. BH Studio is an interior design service that is offered to clients free of charge. They come to us with plans or a photo of the space and a general idea. We take care of understanding the space, making a visit if necessary, and after a few meetings we present them with a 3D model, where they can view the furniture, make decisions, etc.
You as specifiers could use this tool to your own benefit, with extra advice from our team of architects and designers. Each of your projects would have a 3D visualization to present to the end client, in addition to a meeting space between client - decorator - architect (if you have one) and BH Studio .
