The Blue House x Ojala

This was our event for brides in Bogotá.

From August 25th to the 30th, The Blue House Bogotá gallery hosted an event designed for brides who are about to begin a new chapter in their love story. 

We had the opportunity to host Ojalá, an experience not only to find the dress of your dreams, but also to continue dreaming; it lasted five days, and during this time, we opened our doors to receive a total of 92 brides. 

The experience 

The appointments were held with two brides at the same time, each of whom attended with their preferred companions, including family or close friends. They were all welcomed with a dream exercise by us, and then they went to a room-like space, where they were given an iPad with a catalogue, so that they could see the almost 200 dresses available. The brides then selected their favourites and went to the dressing room, where –for one hour– they could try on as many dresses as they wanted. 

The vast majority of the dresses available were previously worn by other brides, who now longed to give a second life to the garment that accompanied them on their wedding day; however, we also had four guest designers, who participated with new, ready-to-wear pieces: Luisa Nicholls and Orop éndola , both from the city of Medellín, Anne Veneth from Ibagué, and Gina Murillo from Cali. 

We also had the advice of image experts, who accompanied each bride in her measurement, reinforcing in them the idea of ​​getting to know themselves, just as is done in the program “Ojalá te conocieras mejor” available at www.ojalacoincidamos.co ; in this way, they were invited to look at themselves with different eyes, to speak positively to themselves and to put aside their insecurities. In this space, they were not only able to see which dress was right for them, but also to create a complete look, accompanied by a hairstyle and accessories that suited each one. 

Some of the guest brands that accompanied us and made this space captivating were Zawadzky, with its accessories; Mermaids & Mimosas with its robes; Hatsu, with its refreshing sodas; and finally, Mary and George, who allowed us to toast with their gelato with liquor. 

It was an honour to meet you all last August in our gallery, to host your greatest wishes and to give you a glimpse of one that fills us with emotion: your dream space. We hope that together we can make them come true.
